Motihari (Bihar): With his round eye-glasses, fringe covering his forehead Rohit Mishra the Supreme Leader of Mahatma Gandhi Central University was born on 21st August 1998 in a middle class Brahman family at Motihari.
He became involvement in protests against fee hikes, library funding cuts, hostel shortages, increased electricity and water charges and dress and time restrictions on university students. Following the introduction of new fee structure in 2017, MGCU became the one of the most expensive public university of India. He held the view that public university should not be act like private or for - profit institutions. He started the protest for complete withdrawal of increment in fee for new academic year. As there is no official student union in university, he became the supreme leader of students by  leading all the protests against university administration on various issues of  students. He joined ABVP and became the Deputy- Secretary (Nagar Sh- Mantri), Motihari. Further, he was made the convenor of MGCU ABVP unit. He has always been critical of Vice-Chancellor (Arvind Agarwal) for his policies and accused him for the destruction of the university. He has always been pro-student leader.

His mobilization of students and boycott of classes in July 2018 were kicked off demanding the fulfilment of various demands of students.
Students held registrar of the university Ashutosh Pradhan hostage which resulted in heavy clash between police and university students on 18th July 2018. Outraged students held the police hostage.

University administration decided to expel Rohit along with his friends Aman Kumar Singh, Anoop Kumar Suraj, Amit Vikram in case of ragging on 21st July 2018. This news spread like wildfire in university campus. Afterwards, students held VC (Arvind Agarwal) hostage in his official chamber for almost eight hours. VC had to call SDM & DSP, Motihari City for his rescue. The VC was released after he agreed to concede on the demands of students and not to expel any students.

Rohit played vital role in making sign MoUs between University and Companies for the training and placement, providing scholarship and exchange students through student exchange program for the development of students. Rohit and Rakesh are said to have very ties close ties . Rohit also made a MoU sign between Bravo Pharma and university for the development of the students.

Rohit leaded the last student protest demanding the removal of Vice-Chancellor (Arvind Agarwal) which was a four month long series of protests and made Vice-Chancellor resign from his post after getting information through an RTI about his forged PhD degree. He got support from all opposition parties and various students' organization of India. He called off protest after resignation of Vice-Chancellor (Arvind Agarwal). Now, he has  joined Central University of Rajasthan and pursuing MBA.

ABVP submits memo to V-C

MGCU ABVP Unit submitted a memorandum to the MGCU Vice-Chancellor Prof Sanjeev Kumar Sharma demanded to honor their 5 points demands. The organisation mailed the V-C and put their demands through a memorandum. ABVP demanded 30% relaxation in cutoff to the students of Bihar School Examination Board (if entrance test may not conducted), promotion of intermediate semester students to the next semester, conduct work course examination for M.Phil students or reserve 25% of total PhD inake (if examination may not be conducted), UG courses should be started for all department like 2019-20 session and repayment to the those students who have paid the application fee but still their form is not submitted. Unit President Jahangir said " we have put our demands to V-C, if he doesn't take our demands in his concern, will protest for the welfare of students.
